Dayton is the dazzling entertainment center of Ohio! Okay, so it's not.
But Dayton does have some interesting attractions if you have time to do some
sightseeing while you're in town. |

Air
Force Museum
The National Museum of the United States Air Force has aircraft from
throughout the history of flight as well as space flight exhibits.
It's the largest aviation museum in the world. The most recent
addition is a Hanoi Taxi. Museum admission and parking is free
(what a bonus).
In town on Friday? The summer “Behind the
Scenes” tours are free and last from 12:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Friday.
Space is limited, so advance registration is required.

King's Island
Strictly speaking, Paramount's King's Island is closer to Cincinnati
than to Dayton. But if you're an amusement park aficionado, especially
if you're fond of roller coasters, this is a great amusement park.

Boonshoft Museum of Discovery
Okay, the name is quite a mouthful--and so is the museum. It is
both an Ohio animal zoo and a children's museum. exhibits include a
grocery store, a boat building area, a climbing area, and an otter habitat.
Be sure to check out the falcon cam!

Splash
Morraine
Looking for a water park? Splash Morraine has a wave pool, water
slides, kiddie area, and a lazy river.
|
Wright B Flyer
The Wright B Flyer
hangar has free admission. Their goal is to honor the Wright brothers,
who brought flight to the world. As some people have been known to
point out, Kitty Hawk had the beach, but Dayton had the brains!
